–Edwin Jackson of the Diamondbacks no-hit the Rays.
—-He walked seven.
—-The Rays have been no hit three times in the last 365 days (Buerhle, Braden, Jackson).
—-He threw 149 pitches. Theoretically, his arm is still attached by various tendons and ligaments to his shoulder. Realistically, on the other hand…
—-It’s the fourth no-hitter this season (should be the fifth), and we’re not at the All Star Break.
–Carlos Zambrano has been suspended indefinitely after, well, um, having a fit of Zambrano. see what I mean?
–The Blue Jays are playing a home series in Philadelphia this weekend, because of the G20 summit in Toronto. If you’re wondering why Toronto isn’t playing in Toronto, read up on the G20. If the G20 comes to NY, I’m gonna get the hell outta Dodge.
–Speaking of, the Yankees beat the Dodgers tonight, the first time the Yankees have faced Joe Torre since the two parted ways. They won on an Alex Rodriguez home run. The same Alex Rodriguez that Torre thought fit to bat 8th in the 2006 ALDS.
–The Orioles came back from six down to win. Never mind that it was the Nationals; I’m not sure if I should be more impressed that they came back from 6-0, or that they won at all… (okay, okay, that’s low.)
–The A’s scored fourteen runs. Yes, those Athletics.
I’m pretty sure this is from when G20 came to Pittsburgh.
